Mission & Vision
EMPOWER focuses on providing open-minded students a platform to speak their minds on social and world problems. To build a community that encourages outspoken confidence and has the ability to provoke meaningful change. Through its events, it EMPOWERs the community to acknowledge the imperfections of the world and take action.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
We believe there is great importance in the ability to transform thoughts into spoken thoughts to make a point, take a stand or get a job done. Communication especially verbally is vital in all aspects of social and professional life. This platforms gives students an opportunity to develop their character, to become more confident public speakers capable of leadership and communicating new ideas. To do this, students need to be pushed out of their comfort zones. Evidently, this cannot be achieved in regular class settings. EMPOWER will allow students to grow and learn new skills that will be useful in the future.
